onderzoeksinstrumentAbout the conference "From human biomonitoring to policy"

Belgium will preside over the European Union in the second half of 2010. The Belgian Presidency of the European Union fits in with a Trio Presidency with Spain and Hungary. Due to a rotation system the Flemish Region will be playing an important role in the Council of Ministers for Environment for 18 months. During the Belgian Presidency the Flemish Minister for Environment herself will be chairing the Environment Council. The Belgian Presidency which starts on 1st July 2010 thus provides an excellent opportunity for Flanders to host some side events concerning key elements of the Flemish environment policy.

Within this scope, we are pleased to invite you to the event ‘From human biomonitoring to policy: a sustainable ‘marriage’ between health and environment’, to be held on 27-28 October 2010 in Brussels, Belgium.

The event aims to bring together scientists, public and occupational health professionals and policy-makers to promote human biomonitoring as a regional, national and European policy tool in Environment & Health.
On behalf of the Flemish government,

Department of Environment, Nature and Energy
Karen Van Campenhout
Chair of the Organizing Committee
